Professor Anita Feller passed away on July 31, 2011 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Anita was a Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy from 1990 to the present.
While on the Illinois faculty, Professor Feller taught courses in introductory accounting and accounting control systems. She also taught in the CPA Preparation course. Anita was often noted for her teaching by inclusion in the Incomplete List of Excellent Teachers, a designation based on student ratings of their instructors.
Anita was a contributing author for the Wiley CPA Exam Review, Financial Accounting and Reporting. She also developed modules for the LearnSmart Technologies Learning System which accompanied an intermediate accounting textbook. Professor Feller also presented at various conferences on the FASB Codification Research System and eIFRS.
Anita will be remembered fondly by faculty, staff and students. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9 at 1 p.m. at the Levis Faculty Center, Urbana, Illinois.
