Terry Duffy offered his keys to leadership to College of Business graduates at the December convocation ceremony held on December 18. Duffy, chairman of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, says that leaders need a moral compass that will guide them to do what is right even when no one is watching. Says Duffy, leaders:
- don't neglect faith or family
- embrace change
- have vision
- are strategic
"Each of you should have a game plan for your organization and for yourself... It's absolutely essential to look to the future and never become complacent in your current situation."
Also addressing the graduates was Everett Westmeyer, president of the College of Business Alumni Association board, and Amanda Kramer, who represented members of the graduating class.
