| 1. What internships have you held? |
Crowe Horwath - Audit/Tax Rotational Intern; Ernst & Young - Tax Intern |
| 2. What will you be doing after you graduate? |
I will be starting full-time with Ernst & Young in the Diversified Tax Group |
| 3. What are your future professional goals? |
I'd like to stay in the tax group with Ernst & Young and work my way up the corporate ladder. Eventually, I would love to start a career in campus recruiting. |
| 4. What professional advice would you like to give to our members? |
Use the resources in this chapter! Our members as well as alumni are our best resources. Everyone in this organization has had different experiences and is always willing to help-out. If you're a younger member who might not know what to major in, where to study abroad, how to get involved in campus, etc. reach out to people. This is a brotherhood for a reason - take advantage |
| 5. What is the best piece of professional advice you have ever received? |
It's the little opportunities and achievements that ultimately add up to the big accomplishments. This was great advice I received as a freshman from my AKPsi mentor, Blair Marsh. Coming into U of I, I was really naive and thought I was going to land those Big 4 accounting internships as a freshman. This really does not happen. Her words really humbled me and made me focus on the small things (i.e. professional development and building a network) so that I would ultimately have the necessary tools to achieve my bigger dreams. |
