Opportunities Await.

World-class employers have consistently looked to our College to build their corporate teams. They are searching for graduates who have a strong foundation in both academics and real-world experience. And just as students' individual needs, interests, and strengths vary, so too do employers'. To find out more about the range of employment opportunities available to our graduates and to make connections with potential employers, BCS offers the following opportunities to students:

I-Link. I-Link is your one-stop shop for on-campus recruiting activity. Through your account, you are eligible to participate in on-campus interviews. To be considered for an interview with a company recruiter, you must submit your résumé through I-Link. It is an easy process but is driven by specific timelines that are set according to when the company will be on campus. If you have been selected for an interview, you will see “invited? on your account. Scheduling the interview is done through the system as well. Learn more about I-Link.

Career fairs. Business Career Fairs are held each semester and host up to 100 different companies each day, allowing you an opportunity to introduce yourself to prospective employers. At these fairs, you can investigate internships and full-time employment options while promoting your qualifications and interests to targeted employers. Check the calendar for upcoming Business Career Fairs. Learn how to make the most of a career fair.

Virtual career fairs are another way to connect with employers. One coming up is the International Virtual Career Fair for students and alumni looking for international opportunities.

Company information sessions. These events are a great way to explore the opportunities available at specific companies and to network with corporate representatives. If you are interested in a particular company or have submitted a résumé to that firm, attending the information session will improve your chances of being selected for an interview. If you already have an interview scheduled with a company hosting an information session, your attendance at the presentation is highly recommended. You can find upcoming company information sessions and RSVP on I-Link.

Career development workshops. Offered in both the fall and spring semesters, these workshops address special topics on career planning, including résumé preparation, interviewing, and employment search techniques. Corporate recruiters, alumni, and other professionals from the community conduct many of these seminars. Check the calendar or I-Link for upcoming workshops.

Employer forum series. You can explore different career paths by meeting alumni from various industries at this series of panel discussions hosted each semester by BCS.

Employer mock interview and résumé critiques. Practice your interview skills and perfect your résumé by participating in employer mock interviews and resume critiques. These are great opportunities to build self-confidence and network. These events occur on a limited basis during the week of a career fair and are scheduled through I-Link.

Job shadowing. Job shadows allow you to take a look at a company or industry by shadowing professionals through a normal day on the job. Through this experience, you see firsthand how classroom skills relate to the workplace. Plus, it helps you investigate different career paths. The BCS Job Shadow Program is open to freshmen and sophomores only, but BCS advisers can provide other students with advice on how to secure a job shadow opportunity.
