Welcome to Delta Sigma Pi | Upsilon Chapter

About Us

The Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The chapter has been actively contributing to the University and the surrounding community since its inception on April 29, 1922.

Our Pillars

Our members build lifelong relationships with each other in both professional and social settings. We look to make connections that last far beyond college and strengthen our organization by taking on a number of social events together including Biz Bowl, Business Olympics, and Progressive Dinner.

We strive to improve our strong standing with the University of Illinois, our extensive alumni network, and our 11 corporate sponsors. Our members have the opportunity to develop themselves professionally with events such as mock interviews, resume critiques, etiquitte dinners, and exclusive networking events.

We look to make a positive difference in the world. Delta Sigma Pi commits to supporting the communities around us by working with a number of local and global causes and hosting philanthropic events such as the Tree of Hope, Suicide Prevention Walk, and Kickin' It With Corporate.

Letter From The President

My name is Aly Bainbridge, and I am proud to serve as the President of the Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I am a senior in the College of Business studying finance and supply chain management. I pledged Delta Sigma Pi as a freshmen during the fall of 2013, and I am incredibly grateful for the abundance of diverse experiences I have had with this remarkable fraternity over the years. The opportunity to become a part of the Brotherhood of Delta Sigma Pi has been fundamental to my professional development, personal growth and enjoyment of my college experience.

The Upsilon Chapter’s strongest asset is our brothers. Over a hundred brothers strong, our chapter represents some of the best and brightest of the College of Business with demonstrated leadership success, diverse areas of interest, and impressive past and future work experience. The national Delta Sigma Pi network has over 260,000 students and working professionals. University of Illinois brothers have many stories of meeting brothers from different chapters in the workplace, in international travels and more!

Delta Sigma Pi is America's foremost business fraternity for men and women pursuing careers in business. The Upsilon chapter dedicates itself to brotherhood, community service, and professional development. Our brotherhood and the close bond all of our brothers have with each other is what differentiates Delta Sigma Pi. I encourage you to talk to the brothers about this brotherhood during the recruitment process. Every brother has a different experience but has a story or a memory of why Delta Sigma Pi has been instrumental in shaping their collegiate career. Over the past few years the fraternity has headed the Tree of Hope campaign to benefit Developmental Services Center, participated in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, lead a Suicide Awareness walk, facilitated Kickin’ It With Corporate, and engaged in many more service outings!

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity built to foster the study of business in universities. We focus on furthering our brothers professionally and also staying connected with the business world. Our relationship with the College of Business at the University of Illinois is another focus for our fraternity as a whole. The involvement of faculty in our chapter gives our brothers an opportunity to learn, grow, and enhance their involvement with the College of Business.

Pledging Delta Sigma Pi has altered my college experience for the better. Delta Sigma Pi has empowered me to identify and achieve my personal and professional goals. I hope for you to learn just how valuable this fraternity is on your own, and I invite you to rush Delta Sigma Pi this semester. To learn more about our chapter, please join us at our Information Night on Monday, August 29th at 6:30PM in the Illini Union.
