Teaching and Research

Teaching interests include managerial accounting and management control at the undergraduate and master's levels, and Ph.D. seminars that focus on the relevance of various research paradigms for the development of accounting and accounting-related knowledge. Current research interests include human learning, judgment and decision making involving the use of information within business contexts in which it is the individual business person who must assess the relevant uncertainties. Current projects involve the processes employed by auditors to assess causality and to form and test hypotheses concerning observed business and audit events.
