With BIF as the backdrop, Tom Abram, Sustainability Coordinator, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Facilities & Services discusses the Climate Action Plan. As a signatory to the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC), the University of Illinois is required to submit a Climate Action Plan that includes mitigation strategies for getting our campus to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. A working draft of the plan is posted on the Office of Sustainability Web site at www.sustainability.illinois.edu.
Join UI-7 on a tour of the Business Instructional Facility (BIF) located on the U of I campus. BIF is home to the College of Business and is the first "green" building in the University's 141-year-old history. UI-7's Karis Morrall explores all that makes this building green, plus what makes it so attractive to students.
