Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
The CFA designation is the standard among finance professionals by which employers validate the knowledge, integrity and professionalism of investment managers and financial analysts.
CFA Level I
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is the globally recognized standard among finance professionals by which employers validate the knowledge, integrity and professionalism of investment managers and financial analysts.
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Program consists of three levels of examination measure a candidate's ability to apply the fundamental knowledge of investment principles at a professional level. The CFA exam is administered annually in more than 70 nations worldwide.
The Review Program
The Department of Finance at the University of Illinois will sponsor a review
course in the spring semester to prepare candidates for the CFA Level I
examination. This review course coupled with the appropriate course work will
cover the material you need to pass the CFA I examination.
Orientation Meeting
The first meeting will be held in January. The syllabus and the six Schweser
books will be distributed at that time.
CFA Exam I
The CFA Exam will be given on the first Saturday of June every year. The
closest locations for taking the examination are Indianapolis, Chicago and St.
Louis.
Registration
To register for the class, please complete the registration form and make a
check payable to the University of Illinois for $750. The registration forms are
available in the Department of Finance. Please bring the completed registration
form and check to 340 Wohlers Hall. If you are not on campus, you may register
by sending the registration form and the check to:

This registration is for the review course only. You
must register separately with the CFA
Institute to take the CFA I examination.
