Business Student Leads Orange Krush, Again
McKennon Biers ’14 (Honors) took over as president of the Orange Krush last March. He is the fourth College of Business student in 4 years (second Honors student in 3 years) to hold this position. Dan Gilpin ’12 (Honors) was president for the 2010-2011 basketball season.
Biers oversees the Orange Krush, all aspects of the organization’s recruiting, marketing, daily procedures, and social activities. He and the rest of his board collaborate frequently with people from the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Together with the president of Illini Pride, 3 chairs and 2 senior advisors, Biers also leads the Orange Krush Foundation, a charity organization that donates almost $200,000 each year to various local and national organizations. Since its creation in 1998, the “Krush” has donated over $2 million to charity and they are still going strong.
