2004 College of Business Convocation

May 15, 2004

The College of Business celebrated convocation with three ceremonies:

Professional Masters Programs, Smith Hall, May 14
MBA and Executive MBA Programs, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, May 15
College of Business Ceremony, Assembly Hall, May 15

In his message to the graduates and their families, Dean Avijit Ghosh reflected on University of Illinois regent John Milton Gregory's definition of education: "The power to see, to reason, and to understand and the power to perceive, to judge, and to act." With their education from the College of Business, Ghosh expressed his confidence in the preparation of the Class of 2004 graduates.

The College was pleased to welcome Howard Engle as the professional masters programs convocation speaker and Tom Vogelsinger as the guest speaker at the May 15th ceremonies. David Gilmartin issued the traditional invitation to graduates from the College of Business Alumni Association. Their remarks are used with their permission.
