For the fourth consecutive year, the Executive MBA program jointly offered by Warsaw University and the University of Illinois has been ranked first in Poland by the influential weekly magazine, WPROST. The program recently graduated 45 students from the 13th cohort and is in the process of admitting its next class.
“This year, as before, there were three programs ranked number one,” said Director Krzysztof Obloj. “But other programs come and go in the rankings, and we stay.”
He attributes the success of the program to the efforts of the students, faculty, and universities to keep the quality of the program high.
“Illinois faculty consider it a privilege to teach in and be a part of this program,” said Susan Cohen, associate professor of business administration and the MBA coordinator in Urbana. According to Cohen, the students, who are generally sponsored by their employers, are highly qualified and enthusiastic about the opportunity to study with faculty from the US in addition to the Polish professors. She noted that the joint program is one of several connections the University of Illinois has with Poland.
Program graduates receive an MBA degree from the University of Illinois and a Postgraduate Executive Management certificate granted by Warsaw University. Program graduates are well equipped to compete for positions not only in Poland but also in the European and American markets.
