Outlet stores -- both real and virtual -- are an excellent secondary market for excess inventory that has a shorter shelf life because of the mercurial nature of fashion. Two Business Administration faculty are researching inventory management options for overstocked items.

Earl Grinols and John Kindt are frequently in the news because of their gambling research. More and more states are considering establishing state-sponsored gambling in light of their financial woes.

June 23-26: CIBER-sponsored Electricity Transmission Business School
The Illinois Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) is sponsoring a four-day conference in Chicago on the rapid changes in electricity markets and the transmission business.

September 15 and 16: Career Fair in Champaign-Urbana
The Fall 2003 Business Career Fair will be held in the Illini Union on Monday, September 15, and Tuesday, September 16. Companies may attend either day and tables are $400 each. Business Career Services is now accepting online registrations.
