Marketplace Literacy for US Audiences
We have piloted a marketplace literacy program for low-income individuals through the Urbana Adult Education Center. We have also piloted programs in the West Side of Chicago and Southern Illinois. Unique to our approach is to combine marketplace literacy with maker literacy, working with our Maker Lab at the College of Business and using 3-D printing both to illustrate concepts in marketplace literacy as a learning tool and as a specific livelihood opportunity. We now offer these programs in Illinois with the Illinois Marketplace and Maker Literacy Program.
